The Changing Electoral Map
Aug 8th, 2008With all the talk of candidates changing the electoral map this election, a few websites have taken the time to look at how the map has changed over time. Interestingly, the map has basically inverted since 1896, as shown by the maps below (from 207towin.com). Both Open-Left, a liberal site, and Race 4 2008, a conservative site, have taken the time to examine the electoral map changes.

Yes it is OK to talk to our enemies. It is the only way to win them and history has proved it. You republicans are arrogant and think you are beyond and above other people. it is a disastor.
The attitude of the previous poster is a symptom of what is wrong with the United States. It is always You Republicans or You Democrats. The politicians on both sides are laughing at us because people like the previous poster really believes that they care about you. We are all pawns and we do ourselves no service when we pretend we are on the inside. Read a little history and remove yourself from the delusion that you are apart of their structure.
I dont know if voting is pointless like some suggest, but I still throw my lot in for the side that agrees with my concerns. At least the government will know how its country thinks, even if they are going to choose their own president.
