2016, 2016 Presidential Campaign, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Maine, Political Maps by State, Politicians, Year

Hillary Clinton is expected to win Maine’s popular vote, which should net her 2 of Maine’s 4 electoral votes. The remaining electoral votes will be given to the winner of each Congressional district. Hillary Clinton should easily win Maine’s 1st Congressional district that includes the city of Portland and the more densley populated coast, but as 538 recently put it “Trump’s Appeal To Rural Voters May Win Him An Electoral Vote In Maine” if he wins Maine’s 2nd district.

Competitive House of Representative Elections: ME-02 is currently held by Representative Bruce Poliquin (Republican) who is up for re-election and running against Democrat Emily Cain. The race is considered a toss up.
