The websites, FiveThirtyEight.com and Electoral-Vote.com, are dedicated to predicting the electoral vote outcome of the upcoming presidential election and as of June 17th, both have Barack Obama headed for a 317 to 221 electoral vote win against John McCain.

    It’s me. Hi.

    I’ve been doing this since 1968. Then, in 1968, I swear, any bar in town would give you a free drink for your voting receipt. I got mine.

    Now…well, NOW. Jeez. And all that time I’ve been good, and responsible. I’ve always picked a realistic candidate from a major party… I was a real jerk.

    This year I’m sixty-two and I’ll vote for the white guy or the black guy, Mike Krzyzewski or Glenn “Doc” Rivers. I haven’t made my mind up yet, but I can tell you it won’t be Hubert Humphrey. Never again. Nor Che nor D’nesh. Get back to me after Beijing for the official endorsement. It’ll be Coach K or Doc firmly by then.

    So help me God.

    Ok seriously, who put Virginia and Missouri in the Blue? Both these states are too socially backward to vote “liberal” and go against the “family values” the GOP claims to have a sole monopoly on.

    I agree with the rest of the map as to which Party each state will side, but I’d drastically change how strongly they side one way or the other.
